Angioid Streaks

Abstract
Angioid streaks (AS) are crack-like dehiscences in Bruch’s membrane, which surround and radiate from the optic disc toward the retinal periphery. AS are often bilateral and may coexist with systemic diseases. The most frequent and serious complication is development of choroidal neovascularization (CNV) which is recently treated with anti-vascular endothelial growth factors (VEGF).
