Fundus Autofluorescence
Abstract
Fundus autofluorescence imaging has been shown to be useful with regard to understanding of pathophysiologic mechanisms, diagnostics, phenotype-genotype correlation, identification of predictive markers for disease progression, and monitoring of novel therapies in retinal diseases. Fundus autofluorescence imaging can be used in diagnosis and follow-up of many diseases. This review summarizes fundus autofluorescence imaging of retinal diseases with supported by photographs of clinical cases in which differential diagnosis plays an important role.
