Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscopy

Abstract
The aim of various retinal imaging techniques is visualization of morphological changes at the cellular and tissue level. Scanning laser ophthalmoscopy (SLO) is based on scanning the fundus with a highly collimated narrow laser beam and measuring the backscattered light intensity. We review the progress of SLO devices and their applications in ophthalmology.
