Classification and Diagnosis in Wet-Form (Neovascular) Age-Related Macular Degeneration
Abstract
Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is one of the most important causes of visual loss in people aged 50 years and older in developed societies. AMD is classified into two groups as dry type and wet type (neovascular). The neovascular form is responsible for more than 80% of the visual loss. In this review, classification and diagnostic methods of age-related age related macular degeneration are discussed in the current literature.
