Epidemiology, Prevalence and Incidence of Rhegmatogenous Retinal Detachment

Abstract
Rhegmatogenous retinal detachment is the most common type of retinal detachments and occurs when subretinal fluid accumulates between the neurosensory retina and retinal pigment epithelium. Although often caused by vitreous liquefaction, cataract extraction, high myopia, inflammation and trauma are other associated risk factors. In this article, epidemiology, prevalence and incidence of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment are aimed to describe.
